London, 31 January 2013 –

The Farm Group, award-winning London-based full-service post production facility, has significantly added to its colour grading and workflow resources through the purchase of a Mistika system at its Soho Headquarters. Following an extensive search for a future-proof solution that would move the facility beyond HD capability, the timing was ideal for The Farm to invest in Mistika.

Mistika now serves as one the facility’s primary workflow tools, enabling the company to offer unique flexibility to suit client requirements. Mistika was put straight to work on Dennis Kelly’s cryptic thriller for Channel 4, Utopia which is currently airing. The use of Mistika’s powerful processing engine allowed Owen Hulme, Online Editor for Utopia, to maintain native camera acquisition frame size and resolution throughout the post process, ensuring optimal picture quality for both UK and international deliveries, whilst also saving significant time over a conventional post workflow.

Having followed Mistika’s development for some time, we had become very impressed with its sheer performance and flexibility. Along with its industry-leading feature-set, Mistika also offers The Farm the ability to work natively with all digital cinema camera formats and across all resolutions, and provides an improved ability to integrate with other post production departments, primarily editorial and visual effects.” says David Klafkowski, Joint Managing Director of The Farm Group. “We were looking for reliable, efficient and cutting edge technology to secure current and future projects. Mistika’s capabilities have reassured us that it is very well placed at The Farm and will enhance the growth of our business even further.

The system was supplied by SGO’s UK Reseller, Pixelution. Managing Director, Giles Parker states “The Farm has now joined the SGO family and we are delighted that they have added Mistika to their impressive array of technology. Mistika offers many advantages to The Farm, including its unrivalled processing speed and extremely broad functionality.

Director of SGO Global Sales and Operations, Geoff Mills adds “It is very significant The Farm has invested in Mistika which adds an important differentiator to their 2D technology portfolio. We are very excited that Mistika presents an effective and highly sought-after solution, with a proven development strategy, which is recognised by The Farm as a vital asset for the company’s growing requirements.
