SGO Mistika’s Lightning-Speed Performance accelerated further with New NVIDIA Quadro K6000

SGO today announced that it has certified the enterprise-class NVIDIA Quadro K6000 professional graphics card for use with its award-winning, high-end colour grading and finishing system Mistika. Recognised as the fastest post-production system available, Mistika’s performance will be boosted with the addition of NVIDIA’s latest GPU, which offers Mistika users over two times increased throughput. As Mistika runs with “off the shelf” hardware, users can benefit by simply upgrading their GPU board to the new Quadro K6000.

SGO wins International 3D Society Lumiere Award for Mistika

Spanish developer SGO receives the prestigious International 3D Society’s 3D Technology Lumiere Award for its Mistika finishing and color grading system for advancements in Stereo 3D and Ultra HD technology. The Lumiere Technology Awards are voted by a professional awards committee via balloting where the judges recommended SGO’s Mistika for the top tier award, specifically due to its impact and innovation in the marketplace. SGO will be honored at a ceremony in Hollywood which takes place on the 18th September, where Geoff Mills, Director of SGO Global Sales and Operations, will receive the Award on behalf of the pioneering technology team.

SGO congratulates ONSIGHT on yet another of its talented Mistika Colourists and Online Editors, David Gonzalez Lozano being selected for the sought-after Broadcast’s Hot Shot recognition awards. David was chosen as one of the “Broadcast 2013 Hot Shots” this month, as nominated by the team at ONSIGHT. It is an accolade that reflects the acknowledgement and recognition from the industry’s most prominent platforms of the professionalism ONSIGHT’s post production team in Soho expounds. ONSIGHT’s Mistika Colourist Andy Lee made the Broadcast Hot 100 last year as well.

SGO’s Mistika beams into Bad Robot for “STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS”

Already lined up for a variety of projects at Bad Robot, SGO’s Mistika was used in the post production finishing of the 2D and 3D movie “STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS”. Paris’ Digimage invests in SGO’s Mistika for high profile film work

Digimage Cinema, a division of media group CMC, used Mistika for all the stunning stereoscopic 3D effects in live-action 3D French-language feature film Asterix & Obelix: On Her Majesty’s Service. Digimage offers high-end state-of the-art Stereo 3D and colour grading in the largest DI room in Europe, following its investment in SGO’s Mistika technology.

Park Road nominated for an IBC 2013 Innovation Award for world-first HFR Stereo 3D film

SGO is thrilled to announce that Park Road Post Production has been nominated for the prestigious IBC2013 Innovation Awards for their pioneering work on “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey”, a production of New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM) – the world’s first High Frame Rate Stereoscopic 3D feature film – directed by Peter Jackson.
