Hi-Ground Media choose SGO Mistika

LA, California, USA, 25 March 2011: SGO’s Mistika was used by Hi-Ground Media for the complete post production of the stunning Red Bull 3D action sports documentary, titled Red Bull Rampage 3D: The Evolution. In association with Action 3D Productions, the high-profile programme was directed by Mike McEntire and Wayne Miller and lead by Executive Producer Gregg Katano.

Framestore use Mistika for ingenious LG cinema commercial

London, UK, 18 March 2011: SGO’s Mistika was used by Framestore for all the stereoscopic alignments, depth grading and visual effects compositing for the LG “Rare Butterflies” cinema commercial for LG’s integrated 3D cinema and digital campaign. Directed by Richard Ayoade for Framestore’s digital team, and lead by Executive Producer, Simon Whalley, Framestore conceived, filmed and post produced the high profile campaign for agency Mindshare, to demystify stereoscopic 3D, using humour and interactive elements on the online version.

Portugal’s stereo 3D pioneer, CVisual relies on Mistika

On Sight takes Mistika Live on set

London, UK, 7 March 2011 – On Sight, production services company specialising in stereo 3D equipment, rental and post production services, has invested in Mistika Live, SGO’s latest innovative development. Mistika Live enables SGO’s powerful stereoscopic and colour correction tools to be taken on-set, to either provide pre-visualisation and preliminary post production settings, or to be used in a live setting. It is the ultimate work station in a stereoscopic 3D shoot environment and an essential on-set tool that enables shooting adjustments in real-time, as well as the creation of dailies, media files and editorial.

BSkyB increases their Mistika systems

London, UK, 4 March 2011 – In order to meet increasing stereoscopic 3D demand for content, global broadcasting giant, British Sky Broadcasting Corporation (BSkyB) expands its stereo 3D capacity with the purchase of two additional Mistika Post production systems working on a 64 TB SGO SAN, to enable powerful collaborative workflows. BSkyB launched Sky 3D, Europe’s first 3D TV channel, using the latest technology which included Mistika to create an incredible 3D experience, providing sports programmes, movies and entertainment into people’s homes across the country. History was made in January last year, with the world’s first live 3D sports broadcast, in which Mistika played a major role in the delivery. BSkyB continues to lead the way in TV entertainment with Sky 3D which is Europe’s first 3D channel.

Park Road Post and SGO strengthen their partnership

Wellington, New Zealand, 3 March 2011: Premier New Zealand-based facility, Park Road Post Production has purchased another four SGO Mistika 4K systems, including a Mistika Software License Agreement for the Weta Group, to enhance its existing Mistika-centric stereoscopic 3D production pipeline and meet the high demands for their upcoming work in stereo 3D. This significant investment quickly follows the recent purchase of two Mistika 4K systems last September, with the facility now hosting a total number of six powerful Mistika 4K workstations. Mistika now forms the nucleus of Park Road’s stereo 3D infrastructure, placing Mistika at the heart of their stereo 3D workflow.
