Leading television Chinese network and IPTV provider, Guangxi TV International, has purchased a Mistika 4K post production system from SGO. Mistika’s innovative technology will play a vital role at the broadcaster, and help maintain their leadership position in the public internet-based IPTV sector.
KyLinTV’s Great Wall, which owns Guangxi TV International, has twenty-five channels to its name, and is regarded as the most comprehensive Chinese-language TV channel package in North America. It is perceived as a means of connecting viewers all around the world to China. With Mistika’s advanced technology and versatile workflow capabilities, it will play a significant part, as the network expands its premier Chinese TV channels, one being, Guangxi TV International, across the globe. Mistika will also network seamlessly between its various studios, and during live broadcasts.
Based in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Province in Southern China, Guangxi TV launched in January last year and provides information on services related to economic and trade exchanges between countries within the recently formed China-ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) Free Trade Area. Government-owned, the television station is perceived as an extremely important platform in China, with twenty-four hour programming on six different local and satellite channels, that play a key role in highlighting upcoming trends and the local cultural traditions in the region.
Mr Wu Jiang, Managing Studio Editor at Guangxi TV International, confirms: “As we work with the RED camera, Mistika is a core system to process RED footage, therefore, we can quickly finish projects using the system. We use Mistika every day and we can’t imagine not having a Mistika system around, in order to process the huge amount of RED footage every day.”
