Karlsruhe’s University of Arts and Design invests in SGO Mistika

Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, South West Germany, 8 September 2011 – The University of Arts and Design (HfG) in Karlsruhe has invested in SGO’s Mistika for its world-class research centre and state-of-the-art Expanded 3Digital Cinema Laboratory, to equip its students with the industry’s leading and innovative technology. ONSIGHT invests in fourth SGO Mistika system

SGO hires Sam Sheppard as Mistika Product Application Specialist

Grand Prize at Dimension 3 goes to film produced on Mistika

Paris, France, 1 June 2011: SGO is delighted to announce that well known German Director, Wim Wenders’ Stereo 3D feature documentary film, titled PINA, was awarded the Grand Prize at 3D technology festival, Dimension 3, in Paris last month. SGO Mistika had a presence at Dimension 3 this year with various demonstrations taking place attracting great interest at their booth. Mistika was used from the beginning of pre-production and at the start of the post production process at PICTORION das werk for the project. PINA was the very first stereo 3D film ever to be shown at the Berlinale festival earlier this year in Germany.

First stereo 3D programme ever to win a BAFTA award produced with Mistika

31 May 2011: SGO is delighted to announce that breath-taking Flying Monsters 3D with David Attenborough for Sky 3D, became the first 3D documentary ever to win a BAFTA for the Specialist Factual category. Sir David Attenborough’s venture into the prehistoric era brings a magnificent view of an unobserved world, back to life on 3D television and the giant IMAX screen, through the latest cutting-edge technology, including SGO Mistika, the most powerful stereoscopic 3D toolset in the industry. Mistika was used for all the stereo 3D, 2D and 3D IMAX post work, by London’s On Sight. Leading UK HD and S3D specialists and renown for using innovative technology, On Sight, chose Mistika for this high profile project which involved multi deliverable formats.
