Spanish developer SGO receives the prestigious International 3D Society’s 3D Technology Lumiere Award for its Mistika finishing and color grading system for advancements in Stereo 3D and Ultra HD technology. The Lumiere Technology Awards are voted by a professional awards committee via balloting where the judges recommended SGO’s Mistika for the top tier award, specifically due to its impact and innovation in the marketplace. SGO will be honored at a ceremony in Hollywood which takes place on the 18th September, where Geoff Mills, Director of SGO Global Sales and Operations, will receive the Award on behalf of the pioneering technology team.

SGO congratulates ONSIGHT on yet another of its talented Mistika Colourists and Online Editors, David Gonzalez Lozano being selected for the sought-after Broadcast’s Hot Shot recognition awards. David was chosen as one of the “Broadcast 2013 Hot Shots” this month, as nominated by the team at ONSIGHT. It is an accolade that reflects the acknowledgement and recognition from the industry’s most prominent platforms of the professionalism ONSIGHT’s post production team in Soho expounds. ONSIGHT’s Mistika Colourist Andy Lee made the Broadcast Hot 100 last year as well.

The Spanish Cinema Academy has rewarded SGO with the Segundo de Chomón Award 2012 for its significant contribution to the film industry with Mistika’s highly advanced technology. The Segundo de Chomón Award is a prestigious accolade that the academy grants each year, to those companies or people, that have made an outstanding technical contribution to the cinema industry.

The RAI, Amsterdam, Holland, 13th September 2011 – SGO is delighted to reveal that the IBC2011 Special Award was presented to Atlantic Productions with Sky 3D, ONSIGHT and SGO Mistika as supporting partners at the Innovation Awards ceremony. The accolade was for remarkable Stereo 3D production and post production of Flying Monsters 3D with David Attenborough, using Mistika, at London’s ONSIGHT. Produced by Atlantic Productions for Sky 3D TV and IMAX, the project was selected as a Finalist in the Content Creation category for ONSIGHT with SGO.
Paris, France, 1 June 2011: SGO is delighted to announce that well known German Director, Wim Wenders’ Stereo 3D feature documentary film, titled PINA, was awarded the Grand Prize at 3D technology festival, Dimension 3, in Paris last month. SGO Mistika had a presence at Dimension 3 this year with various demonstrations taking place attracting great interest at their booth. Mistika was used from the beginning of pre-production and at the start of the post production process at PICTORION das werk for the project. PINA was the very first stereo 3D film ever to be shown at the Berlinale festival earlier this year in Germany.

Sir David Attenborough’s venture into the prehistoric era brings a magnificent view of an unobserved world, back to life on 3D television and the giant IMAX screen, through the latest cutting-edge technology, including SGO Mistika, the most powerful stereoscopic 3D toolset in the industry. Mistika was used for all the stereo 3D, 2D and 3D IMAX post work, by London’s On Sight. Leading UK HD and S3D specialists and renown for using innovative technology, On Sight, chose Mistika for this high profile project which involved multi deliverable formats.
