Already lined up for a variety of projects at Bad Robot, SGO’s Mistika was used in the post production finishing of the 2D and 3D movie “STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS”. Mistika’s involvement also included unique workflow technologies for film and conform, in all dimensions for 2D, stereoscopic 3D and IMAX versions.
When industry veteran and Mistika VFX Artist and Colourist, David Cox was asked to post produce a high-resolution, wide-screen presentation to be projected onto a seventy-metre wide screen for The United Nations Climate Change Conference, Mistika was the obvious choice.
SGO’s Mistika was used at London’s ONSIGHT for the stereoscopic 3D post production of RealD and the Royal Opera House’s co-production of one of the world’s finest operas, Puccini’s Madam Butterfly in 3D for the first time ever. The sophisticated masterpiece entitled Madam Butterfly 3D was filmed last summer during live performances at the prestigious Covent Garden venue and released exclusively in RealD 3D-equipped theatres beginning spring 2012.
