Pixelution supply computer, video, storage and peripheral equipment primarily to the film, television and broadcast markets. As a long standing solutions provider we have many years experience of tailoring hardware and software products to give our customers the performance, quality and service they require.

With the launch of consumer HDTV services this year our High Definition products for Broadcasters and Production companies are proving very popular. We can supply products for each stage of production from uncompressed HD capture, editing, colour grading, effects and compositing and output in it's original uncompressed format or re-formatted for digital broadcast, DVD distribution, internet streaming video or any other media.

Working with uncompressed video requires large amounts of fast storage. All our video systems have their own internal storage but we can also provide dedicated Network Attached Storage ideally suited for archiving footage and sharing data.

We can provide everything to complete your workflow and workplace from networking and cabling, to HD Plasma and LCD screens and converters, through to large scale air-conditioning.

By road:

M1 and M25 West: Leave the M1 at junction 10 and take the motorway spur to the first roundabout. Follow the signs all the way to Hitchin (approx. 10 miles). Coming into Hitchin go over the first mini roundabout, left at the next roundabout. Right-hand lane and turn right at the traffic lights. Change to the left-hand lane and follow the road down into the town centre. Follow the road left through the traffic lights and straight over the next junction by Wilkinson's. Our office is along this road on the left. There is a car park on the right about 100m past our office. Follow the signs for Sainsbury's where are 2 public car parks.

A1(M) and M25 East: Leave the A1(M) at junction 8 and follow the signs to Hitchin (3m). At the large roundabout shortly after entering the outskirts of Hitchin take the fourth exit toward "Town Centre". Go down the hill, go right at the mini roundabout at the bottom and follow the road in the left-hand lane to the main junction. Turn left down the hill, turn right at the bottom. Our office is along this road on the left. There is a car park on the right about 100m past our office. Follow the signs for Sainsbury's where are 2 public car parks.

 

By rail:

Hitchin station is on the East Coast main line out of Kings Cross. Fast trains run at least every 30 minutes throughout the day. The journey, depending on the train, will take between 28 and 48 minutes. Our office is one mile from the station and there are usually plenty of cabs waiting - or call us for a lift or directions.

Company History

Established in 1990, Pixelution has grown to become one of the leading system integration companies serving the computer animation and post production industries in the UK. From its roots as a digital film scanning and output bureau the company has built an excellent reputation for supplying and supporting leading edge products.

Pixelution has a long history of involvement with Silicon Graphics. For many years it dealt in the second user SGI market before becoming a fully authorised reseller early in 1996. Much of its business was built around SGI products and we intend to maintain this philosophy whilst continuing to expand and build the portfolio of products we represent to the entertainment industry.

Currently leading the way with a unique range of HD products Pixelution is giving their customers the tools they need to create and edit digital content for film, television and exhibition.

Pixelution is based in Hitchin - a historic and picturesque market town in Hertfordshire, 30 miles north of London. Hitchin is also a very convenient location for access to all of the South East and the Midlands.
