This system is designed specifically for the real time playback of high resolution images. Dailies review forms an important part of the production process and this system makes that task easy.

FrameCycler Digital Daily System 2007 is a powerful review and approval tool, ideally suited for post houses and VFX facilities. The application provides unlimited real-time playback of uncompressed frame sequences at HD, 2K, and higher resolutions.

Output is via the top-end Nvidia Quadro FX5800 card fed from an array of 16 x 15,000rpm SAS drives.

Speed and flexibility have made FrameCycler DDS the leading digital daily playback software since it was first released in 2002. It can play virtually any known format thus saving the need for file conversion; image analysis tools and channel views make it easy to spot issues with source material for efficient review and approval; a command line interface allows for integration scripting to connect FrameCycler DDS into any pipeline.

FrameCycler plays virtually any format you can throw at it so there's no waiting around for file conversions. Sequences load quickly and almost every function can be activated with a single hotkey or mouse click. Included in the file format handling is extended OpenEXR support and the ability to display defect maps included in a DPX file.

Along with a powerful set of playback controls, FrameCycler DDS includes a treasure chest of image analysis tools. The Vectorscope, Histogram, and Colour Picker provide image data and the Interactive Zoom tool allows for precise examination of any part of a frame or sequence. Channel views make it easy to find artefacts or check for compatibility issues against various output formats.

FrameCycler DDS offers an intuitive timeline, EDL conform, SDI-out, multiple playheads for version and shot comparisons, expanded LUT support, and more. ReviewLink, which allows for remote review sessions with current versions of FrameCycler or SpeedGrade, is included, and a DualStream stereoscopic playback module is available as an option.
