CONCRETE POST PRODUCED CROWN FILM'S AWARD-WINNING PROGRAMMES - WINNING SEVEN AWARDS INCLUDING TWO GOLD CAMERAS

"The reason I come to Concrete is because the facility has a strong relationship with their clients and a really good understanding of the post production process as a whole. … There is a wealth of talent at Concrete with some of the best editors in Soho working there."
Ollie Solman, Head of Film and Video, Crown Film.

Concrete, one of the leading post houses based in Soho's Dean Street is thrilled to announce that the corporate programmes they edited for Crown Film have won an incredible seven awards to their name.  Crown Film were awarded two impressive Gold Camera Awards, three Silver Screen Awards and two Certificate of Creative Excellence Awards, which were all announced at the U.S International Film and Video Festival 2008 in LA this month.  All of the award-winning programmes were edited and post produced at Concrete. Ollie Solman, Head of Film & Video at Crown Film was responsible for directing and the production of each of the compelling corporate documentaries. Concrete's Senior Editors Matt Hall,  David Freemantle and Caroline Sarin worked on the editing of the programmes and Nicki Lang, David Cox and Chris Gilbert were the Online Compositors who worked on the online grading and compositing effects for the award-winning projects.

Ollie Solman, Head of Film and Video at Crown Film stated: "The reason I come to Concrete is because the facility has a strong relationship with their clients and a really good understanding of the post production process as a whole, and all the people involved in the project there, understand it as well which I feel is important.  There is a wealth of talent at Concrete with some of the best editors in Soho working there. Also, I am very happy with the grading that Mistika offers and the motion graphics work that Concrete provides."

The coveted two Gold Camera Awards that Crown Film earned were for the exceptional work they achieved with the programme, "Domestic Violence: You Don't Have to Live in Fear", under categories titled "Public Issues & Concerns Production" and "Social Issues Production" for the Department of Justice. The entire programme was edited at Concrete by talented editor Caroline Sarin.  It depicts the fact that there is no typical story of domestic violence with comments added from people from a range of backgrounds and professions who have either been victims of domestic violence or have worked hard to assist those victims. Using a combination of reconstruction and true stories, the film spoke directly to the audience in an attempt to reassure people in perilous situations, that help is there to break the cycle of violence and fear in which they have found themselves. The balanced but not sensational film portrayed what it means to be involved in domestic violence and how to escape it.

Crown Film received two Silver Screen Awards for its programme, "JPMorgan - Risk the Eye of the Storm" under the "Public Relations: Corporate Image Production" category; as well as the "Corporate Communications: Employee Oriented Production" category for their client JP Morgan.  Crown Film scripted a day-in-the-life style film, shot in London in and around the vicinity of JPMorgan's London offices. The film needed to help students make a more informed decision about this part of the bank concerning recruitment.

Another Silver Screen Award was won for their brilliant work on the programme title "Aim Higher" under the category of "Education: College & Advanced Education Production" for DCSF Department for Children Schools and families.  All of these Silver Screen awarded programmes were edited, graded and post produced at Concrete.

A Certificate for Creative Excellence also went to Crown Film for their programme titled "JPMorgan: IB - The Beauty's in the Detail" under the Category of Corporate Communications: Employee Oriented Production.  The film shows how a single deal starts out, how it progresses and the departments, people and personalities at its heart. The film is about the pulsating energy and drama central to big money business. The most important element of the film is about the people involved.

Crown Film then took home another Certificate for Creative Excellence for their outstanding work on "JPMorgan: Virtual Traders" under the Category of "Corporate - Internet Programming: Podcast - Video Production". All the post production was completed at Concrete.
