New SSD version now available using all solid state disks

The Megacine portable field recorder is a no compromise solution for recording SD, HD and 2K video on film sets and in post production. Its amazingly compact size make it is easy to transport yet it can store up to 2 hours of full quality uncompressed image data.

Powered by standard camera battery packs, or mains, and with an inbuilt screen that allows immediate review, the Megacine is an ideal recording solution for many high-end cameras such as the Viper.

Twin input capability for stereoscopic 3D comes as standard - two single link HD feeds can be recorded together in stereo mode. Now the new all solid state version extends Megacine's operational capabilities into harsher environments such as helicopters.

Recorded sequences are played back in exactly the same quality and mode as they are captured or they can be converted internally to other frame rates.

When its time to download the captured sequences as data simply connect the Megacine to your laptop or post production system (Windows, Mac or Linux) via Firewire or Fibre Channel and it will appear as an external hard disk. Use the supplied Mediaport application to download the individual raw files to DPX (or other file type) sequences.
